Great great video Mike. I never thought about this. And you know what I am so confuse. So many questions in attached pdf I can’t answer. The only thing I know is to be a great UI UX designer, familiar with coding, print, illustration and make people smile.

I will print the attached pdf and will try to figure it out all these questions.

    Thank you so much Mike.

@Sunny – Take your time with the exercise. Its supposed to be something that you really think about. Its fun and exciting to do, but it can really open your eyes to what you desire. Gives you something to strive for.

Hey mike Great Video. I want to hear your thoughts about and older professional transitioning from computer networking to the creative side of IT, web design, and if you can give any advise. I know you’re not that old, but maybe you have a friend, lol

@Ed – I get this question a lot. The thing about being older and transitioning into the web design field is all about your ability to stay on the cutting edge of what’s going on today. If you can design based on today’s standards, if you can produce UI and UX based on today’s standards, you can be successful in the field. But if you allow yourself and your predefined ways to hinder your approach to design, then that’s where you’ll get into trouble.

Mike, another outstanding video that will help a lot of people. I went through the exercise of answering these question many many years ago (I don’t remember reading this book or not, I have read and continue to read a lot of books and all the information from them gets merged together so I never really know the source of the info or the insight). When I did this exercise I determined, at the time, many things, like: live in a warm climate, work for a medium-size company, work with small groups of people in a team effort, work that allows me to be creative with ideas and problem-solving (not necessarily design). All of this lead me back to tech and now I lead a team of designers and developers distributed globally. I love it and it fits who I am and what I best can contribute. I was told that when I pray for something, be very specific and very clear on what you want, need, or design with my heart. Vagueness produces nothing, but specificity allows God to move things around so that things happen for you. At least that is what happened to me. I truly believe it is the act of being very specific and clear on what you truly wanted with your heart is what gets you there.

Anyway, great video and I hope people take away the act of being specific; and it (whatever that IT is) WILL come to them.

@Juan – Great insight, yes love the part about “vagueness producing nothing”…that can be summed up to Drifting in the book I read. When you drift, its all vague and at the end of the day amounts to nothing but wasted time. You’re absolutely right. Being specific is what some people will call “law of attraction”, things happen when you’re specific. Can’t explain it but it really does. Good stuff.

Hey Mike you’re getting really philosophical with this.
Sincerely, this is highly inspirational. It’s true sometimes you get fired up for something and with time it just dies down naturally as you mentioned in the video. I wonder why? Sometimes I make certain commitments that I can’t just seem to keep for a very long period of time probably because I’m not seeing the desired result.
I really need to keep taking this exercise, looks quite exciting. Keep the up the good work and God bless you for a lot of lives that your impacting.
