Great topic, Mike! I have had an online portfolio for over 10 years. There have been many times that my work was old (7+ years back), and I also put work I wasn’t proud of (clients that wanted it their way). I learned over time, that it’s not necessary to put everything. Just things you are proud of. It also becomes easy to get lazy when you don’t have a “reason” to update your portfolio. But, you really have to set a time to at least clean things up a bit. Look at other sites for inspiration. You never know when you have a prospective client or recruiter that might check it out.
