In this video I share a small portion of my everyday workflow using the bitmap features within Adobe Fireworks – showing some of my wish list items for Adobe XD (Adobe Experience Design CC).
Hey Mike —Perfect breakdown of what Adobe XD is lacking. Hopefully they will watch this video and add bit mapping abilities to the next update! I hope! Or there will really be no reason to switch to XD from PS+FW+Invision. They really have a chance to create an awesome app with a new experience…lets pray they listen to the people!

Wow Mike, I see what you mean. XD is completely useless for you and your workflow. They do have a chance to make an amazing program, IF they listen to what is actually needed.

Hey Mike,
I have started following you few months ago..Your videos are really helpful specially when it comes to UI/UX ..i am now much better designer because of your guidelines. I have a question Mike that when i see here in Dubai,United arab emirates that people who have masters degree in design & Ux and other certification is on good jobs like with big companies but their work is dull when i compare it even with my work. So do we really had to have a degree in designs but not to have a creative mind ? Or companies prefer degree over work quality ?
Hope you would answer.
Regards,
Hadi ALtaf
@Zach @Alan – Thanks guys, let’s hope they listen. I think it may all turn out well with these in the end. But for now, I have to put this pretty toy back in the box and wait.
@Hadi – The short answer is no, you don’t need a degree. But having said that, we have no control over what companies require. In the US, I can tell you that it’s not a requirement but sure you can find people in top jobs with degrees and masters etc. that’s just how things are sometimes. Focus on your work and your abilities and opportunities will come.
Hey Mike, love your work man. How do I get Fireworks now though? Is this even possible? Most of the Adobe stuff used here in Jamaica are older software as most persons don’t like the monthly commitments. Keep doing what you are doing!
