Mike, I gotta say…this video was excellent, timely and just what I needed. I always thought that Networking had to be approached in a “cold-call” kind of manner. However, that clearly is not the case as you’ve outlined. Networking happens NATURALLY when you’re in the right setting! Such great and organic advice. Thank you yet again Mike for all that you do! Keep up the phenomenal work!

I was on vacation and unplugged for a few days, so I missed this one when first posted. But I have to say Right-On. You hit the mark. This advise, as you said, applies to EVERYONE, no matter what industry, profession, discipline, skill-set, occupation, whatever. Again, strong advice.

Mike, your videos have been a really great help for me, i started out one day as a print specialist and ever since then i have switched to dtp then graphic design then web design and right now with the help of your videos i want to persuit a carreer in ui/ux design.

i was wondering if you could help me with 1 problem.
see, i am from europe(The Netherlands) and there are not that many tech startups in my country, if i look at job openings for ui/ux designers in my country there are only a few vacancies.

this is mainly because most of the smaller companies hire front end developers who also do the ui/ux.
i tried javascript for a bit but my heart is in css.

one day i want to work at either a startup or a big company like facebook/google in the U.S..

so my question is how do i get there? should i continue freelancing or should i suck it up learn javascript and get work as a front end developer to network and get better jobs.

do you know any colleges from europe and how they managed to get there? do companies offer relocation packages?
