Mike, your videos are always great. Thank you for giving specific examples. This video builds on what you talk about in “The Differences between Web Designer and UI/UX Designer”. I especially like when you give visual examples very much like you did in your video “Simple Web Designer Portfolio Layout Example”. I know it takes more time to produce but it adds a lot to your message. No matter what, keep getting the message out. We sincerely appreciate the value you are adding.

@Juan – Thanks Juan, yeah I actually intended to show more visual examples in this video, but it was running late and I wanted to get it out. Yes the added visuals definitely makes the message/info that much more clearer. My hope is to continue to add these types of visuals to my videos moving forward. Thanks for enjoying the content and appreciate the positive feedback.

    Mike,

Thank you for a great explanation of these different but related roles. It seems that UX is the real meat of the web design field.

From this video and your problem solving video, it seems that UX design crosses over into marketing – research, creating personas, user testing, monitoring, etc. I know specific job titles at different companies will vary, but from your experience, do UX designers ever work in a formal marketing role?

@Patrick – No, UX Designers though it may include some marketing principles as you pointed out is solely focused on the digital user experience.
