We have heard that tables were simply inefficient but we have included both in our newest projects and all of our sites validate with W3C just fine.
Google appreciates smaller files, less code equals smaller files but we talking some really small differences and byte savings so small that we struggle to see the real need for DIV tags. This being said, were are now doing most master designs using DIV and CSS.
We are just diving into the HTML5 world and need to understand if tables will be fully supported moving forward. Let’s stay in touch.
